After establishing the “BAK Foundation”  Arup ji has been toying with the idea of spreading awareness of Indian Classical Music among the young children who are going to be future of this country.  One of the key things he recognized was that the young children need to first explore music before they can get to a stage where they are sure of their interest.   He observed that  children often found classical music too difficult to handle or their interest level dwindling after some time .  Taking many of these factors into account he came up with the idea of establishing a school with a different approach.  His good friend Mr. Kamaljit who himself is passionate about Indian classical music , came forward and offered to collaborate to establish a music school with a difference. .  Thus the new school called “Mata Durga Devi School of Music” was established at Bharat National Public School, Delhi.  The school started in 2012 already boasts of 50 young kids who come regularly to learn classical music. The children don’t’ have to buy instruments or bring instruments right away. They come here and practice as much as they want, under the careful guidance of their Gurus who time to time rectify them if anything is amiss. 
                The school also has a monthly performer function where every month the best performers are chosen.  At the end of the year the best among them will get an opportunity to show case their talent in the “Baba Allaudin Khan Foundation” Annual function.  It’s indeed a treat to visit the school when the musical Gurukul is in full swing.​
